Residency – Information, Policies, and What to Bring

Residency Information

The following resources will be available on-site during the residency:

• Dissertation research Seminar information and Learner Services at the Capella booths.
• Courseroom and technical support at the Capella booths.
• Cyber café.
• Doctoral advising via Chat.
• Capella Store.

Capella Dissertation research Seminar Policies

Review the following Capella policies:

• Attendance at Residencies Policy 03.04.05.
• Learner Code of Conduct Policy 04.02.02.
• Discrimination, Harassment, and Assault Policy 04.02.04.
• Drug and Alcohol Policy 04.02.05.

What to Bring to the Residency

• Laptop and power cord.  Wi-Fi will be provided in the session rooms.
• Copies of the following (most should be electronic so they can be worked on during sessions):
• Your own Research Plan that you began working on in Track 1, and continued in the Track 2 Courseroom.
• Your Research Topic Oral Presentation designed in Unit 5 of the Track 2 Courseroom.
• Your research literature log (RefWorks or another kind). You will be doing additional literature searching during the residency.
• Your copy of the American Psychological Association’s Publication Manual, 6th edition.
