Participation Guidelines

You are encouraged to actively participate in discussions. To do this, you will create a substantive post for each discussion topic. Your posts should demonstrate your achievement of the discussion criteria (using the discussion rubric). In addition, at a minimum, you will need to respond to the posts of at least two of your fellow learners for each question, unless the discussion instructions state otherwise. Your responses to your peers need to be substantive and contribute to the conversation by asking questions, respectfully debating positions, and presenting supporting information relevant to the topic. You also need to give full attribution to the source of the information in your posts.

To allow time for your peers to respond, you will typically be responsible for making your original post in the discussion area by Thursday of each unit. Your responses to your peers will be due by Sunday of the unit at 11:59 p.m. (Central Standard Time).
